We’re often asked the question - do you need a degree to be a buyer? It depends…

A degree is not compulsory to become a buyer. The best way to start your career as a buyer is to work in retail. This way you get a good understanding of store operations and the product range. If you are a grad, you can often start your career working as an Assistant Buyer. The salary for an Assistant Buyer can range from $32k -$40k. Senior Buyers can earn in excess of $150k per annum.
